. Not to be a prick, but do you really want to run a snap on Moon disc? You can spot the snap-ons a mile away and they always looked kind of half-assed to me. Besides the screw on discs aren't expensive and aren't exactly hard to mount. I'm just sayin'... .
The clip on disks will only work if you have fuzzy dice hanging from your mirror and a drive in tray hanging on your door...
Agree with posts #3 and #4. The screws (either 3 or 6) are missing...! Hint, if you do go to the screw on style, put thin nylon washers under the screw. Most wheels are fairly flexable, the Moon discs are not. After many miles, the screws begin to burrow into the alum. of the disc., and eventually cause the disc to chatter while cornering faster corners. The washers help to slow this action by a noticable amount. Mike
I've always used the snap on discs because I was too lazy to unscrew the real ones to check air pressure. Anybody know when the snap on discs came along? I remember them in the JC Whitney catalogs from the early 60's
I agree with posts #3, #4 and #7. The wheels remind me of those 80's basket wire wheels but without the basket.
If you do that anyone with a dime in their pocket will be able to pop off all 4 in less than a minute. Bye Bye moons!! Frank
Where the hell ya livin' that hubcap theft is still a thought? I would think that most theives would be a bit confused by a DZUS fastner even if they did care about stealing the discs themselves.
I'de run those wheels-"as is" even kinda like the cap. But,if disc's are your flavor, screw on's are the deal.
Noticed that all the anti-snapon Moon disc guys weren't even born when we were buying them at Pep Boys in the fifties.
