Well if I'm not mistaken there is no restriction on this forum that the items be hot rod or even car related . . . only pre-1965 stuff, right? Grew up in the LP era, graduated HS 1971, collected LP's well into the '80s. Have around 900 LP's but probably only 1/4 of them are pre-1965. The problem with LP's is that if you are a 20-something free spirit who moves around a lot (and takes his LP's with him) they get beat up. And then I almost always had a cat and the cat liked to sharpen his claws on the album covers (stacked like books on the shelf). And then there are the 30 or 40 LP's that you just wore out due to multiple playing. I cannot tell you how many original LP's I had to replace (back in the day) because I wore the originals out. And now the replacements are fairly worn. Here's a couple from the first batch of LP's I ever bought circa 1965 (with the "C" LP's on the shelf behind - keep LP's alphabetic order):
And then there are the 45's that belonged to my paternal grandfather (b. 1900 & d. 1963), so these are probably from the 1930's-40's, have not looked them up.
Brer, the 45 RPM wasn't released until the late '40s, so date them from the '50s. I collected albums for 30 years until they were taking too much room. Now concentrating on 45s ...

Not me... 25 crates of 78 RPM records, and another 18-20 at a friend's house. I need to take em out of the crates though. Look closely...
'63 World 600. Lots of up and comers on the list. 1st place won $27,830 A young Richard Petty completed 90 of 400 laps and took home $425, the same amount last place finisher Curtis Crider won for completing only two laps.
I gave all my records to my twin daughters, the only one I kept is the "Bat out of Hell" picture album. HRP
