The caps on the zerk fittings is brilliant.

I've been replacing zerks that didn't grease...on the faint hope it might make a diff. No dice usually, unless a different angled one makes it possible to get the gun on there.

I can see I'm going to have to get serious about this to get the car to grease.

The front end bushings misaligned? Considering how much I paid the monkeys at the machine shop, and how long they took, well, of course they were installed wrong. God.

Be careful with the heat, I heated the kingpins on my 68 Chev van and then found out that the kingpin bushings were nylon! Check before heating!- Jim

I have a little trick that works for me, I use a hand grease gun, I have a 12 inch rubber hose on it. I remove about 6 inches of grease from the hose, then fill the hose with kroil (penetrant). Then pump the kroil into the grease fitting when pressure is built up I wait a little while, then pump pressure back up, and so far have been lucky. Roger

Had one broken off flush, couldn't get it out. Drilled a new hole and taped it. New zerk and it took grease like new. ran a lot through it to clear anything left over
