There was a whole bunch of free loader yachts boats and jet skis , plus public at each end,as you would expect. The foot traffic caused a little bit of bother at the finish line, till they built a big assed sand berm ,problem solved.

That Y Block powered rail also almost went through the end of the shut down area, so that berm was serving two purposes

I believe these two cars were bought by Australians in the barons car club.the gold roadster and prime red rear engine model A. But never saw them run on the beach, maybe I missed them . Does anyone know why they didn’t run ?

TROG 1.jpg TROG 2.jpg TROG 3 .jpg TROG 4.jpg TROG 5.jpg Roadster @ TROG .jpg My car was the #39 roadster. First time doing the event. One of the best car-related events I've ever been to. Such a blast with some of the coolest people around and the weather this year was absolutely heaven sent.

It wasn't Hondo's Y-block rail. It was some dude with a mid-60's Hemi powered rail that had sketchy rear brakes.

There were two bumps on the course. One about 3/4's of the way and one at the finish line.

He hit the first one and went front wheels up. He hit the second and went airborne and couldn't stop.

Cops were cool and the berm was the resolution to allow us to keep racing.

My bad on that. I was standing at the top end of the track and saw the rail go flying though, he did a hell of a job to get it stopped before the fence.

Even a the rail in question only had one rear brake fitted, and the hand lever wasn’t easy to access .Didn’t realise the bump was that bad, till we saw your car #39 getting air. I assume they got the big loader to take care of the bump at the same time.

Who's the dude on the passenger side? Looks like the Brother of that American Pickers guy Mike Wolfe
