Yes it would be then, I just was not sure. Is there another option for the head besides porting the one I have? Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
My wife says I act like a "fucking child". That count? Such language from a lady. Sheesh. *going back to my office to make fart noises with my hand in my armpit
I'm young sorta I think....I count my age by my fingers....sometimes twice (I often forget the sequence).....wish I was smart enough to build a car when I was 17...unfortunately, I was barely learning to count on my fingers (yes, I am still learning the sequence)..........sound like you have a real head on your shoulders Camistheman....glad you are on the HAMB!
Thanks, very few people my age understand this hobby, I hope as they grow older they will begin to rethink it and hopefully hot rodding will live on. They are the ignorant ones! Lol Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Age is a question of reality. I question my age a lot and then remember reality.....I am 60 going on 20.
Welcome to the HAMB! You can have the head "shaved". This will up the compression but you must measure valve to piston clearance before. Ask the machinist, he will know how much to shave it if he's been doing this for awhile. You can bump the timing up a little too. Slam an HEI distributor on there. Intake and header like you said. As long as you are having fun! Good luck
Thanks for the help. I have to finish this year of high school first, in June all hell will break loose. I am working out my plans until then though. The weight of the car will also help with the speed of it too, considering a t bucket only weighs about 1,500 pounds. A stock 235 would probably scoot it around pretty good, but what fun is there with leaving it stock? Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
