I have a 1949 F-5 that I would like to get going. It has a flathead v8 4spd. I would like to put a car hauling bed on it to haul my racecar and other cars. I plan on trying to get the flathead going but if I can't it will get another engine put in but I am not sure what. I got this about 5 years ago for $125. I haven't messed with it much but will after the 51 is finished
I have a '48/51 F-4 that I like to say is half done. I have a lot to do on it but I just got a '37 Buick project that I think I might get road worthy by the spring. I'm building a '59 F-350 1 ton dually to pull my 4 car wedge trailer for long trips and many, many miles. I stretched the frame at the cowl and put in a '96 ***mins turbo with 6 speed trans, 70s era Dana 70 rear and disc brakes on front. I plan to use it a bunch. I am also on the lookout for some mid-late 50's GMCs, 1 ton or more, that were powered by Pontiac V-8s for my collection. Steve Hosting- Sunday April 11, 2010 8th annual Nostalgic Show & Go! I'm building a '54 GMC 1-ton, which isn't as big a truck as the Ford F-5. 5-window cab. GM 14-bolt rear. Cadillac 500 with TH400. C20 disk brake IFS. I'm building it to pull my tandem axle car trailer. I have two cabs to choose from, one of which is my avatar to the left. The alternative is essentially the same, but currently a different color. Check out the threads here on COE trucks. Any GM COE will be a 2-ton or larger truck.
After I saw the AC Mack at the Peterson Museum, I thought it was so cool I just had to have one. So I found this one, bought it, fixed some stuff on it. Then reality set in. It took up more space in the shop that I could spare. It was too slow to drive anywhere. It was still cool, but I sold it.
We picked up a complete 41 chevy beet truck with a tilt bed, awhile back and was thinking car hauler also.
These are mostly from a show in Macungie, PA about 12 years ago. Only two Hot Rods, but damn cool trucks none the less. Sorry for the b/w, but I was shootng for a special project.
