I broke one of the dies on my El Cheapo double flare tool kit. You know the one, 19.99 at the parts store. I was looking online for some replacement dies and found a thing called a Flare master . Does anybody actually own one of these? How well and how easy does it work? And most importantly, can an overgrown ape such as myself use it?
hey there. yes i have seen these tools. one of my friends from the gas company uses them. its prety simple to use and does a good job. it was copper tube though. undergroung gage. my normal ( cheep style ) wouldnt even flair it. it just pushed it out, but his did a perfect job. try it. im sure it must be better than the cheep style, and since the old one broke you might as well buy a good one now. good luck eh.
