Anybody get anything from JC Whitney that DOESN'T suck?

    Just bought a electric fuel pump (1.5-3.PSI) for my garden tractor. Says its a Purolater, has Made in USA on it and was 49.95. Haven't got it hooked up yet but its heavy and looks good.

    I used to restore and sell VW's. I've bought alot of that stuff and was never let down. That bein said, Go to the swapmeet looking for Craftsman, not H/F.

    LOL, Where do you think the "Del Rio" Bros. got the horn that played "Charge" or "La Cucaracha" every time they ran at Fremont!. They sell good stuff and they sell junk. But it's usually cool junk you can't find anywhere else. Things like nekked woman hood ornaments or wolf whistles.

    Bathroom in my house growing up always had Sears and Spiegles (Spelling?) for mom to get our clothes and housewares from and J.C. Whitney's for me and the old man.

    1959 ordered a fake radio antenna and a fox tail for my bicycle luggage rack, age of 8, it was kool, then in about 197? ordered "winkie the cat" still got it worked perfect!

    I got a set of new leaf springs through J.C. Whitney, and they don't suck at all...

    have ordered stuff from them since the 50's. sorry to see the decline in what is carried. don't ever remember being really upset with anything. long before the internet and a "local" jc whitney, honest charley and the like was a connection to a world some of us dreamed about.
