Anybody going to Spring Carlisle next Friday.

....I was debating on going before or after the Hoedown. Figure it might be better to do before, wonderin' if anybody else is gonna be there then?

 

There are people who DON'T go to Carlisle??!?

 

Yeah sure, they have shelves full of catalogs and racketball court times.

I was just wondering who else was going up Friday. Maybe put some faces to names.

I am going to try to go on Thursday if I can swing it.

 

i'll be there friday from opening till dark...probably go back sunday too for some trash scrounging

 

Well, if you happen to run into someone looking for T-parts, about 6-2, wearing a Triumph motorcycles t-shirt, and a newsie hat. That'll be me.

 

Yep, gotta long list of things. Gonna start early Friday and scrounge till I can't walk anymore. Gotta find some 15x7 Ansens for the back of the coupe!!

I am going to drive over Friday night after work (6 1/2 hours). I ll get there around midnight sleep in the car till aroud 6:00 am walk around till about 3:00pm and drive 6 1/2 hours back home. I know driving a total of 13 hours to walk around looking at junk for 9 hours is kinda dumb but its a sickness. I don't think there is a cure.

By then you guys will probably have taken home all the good stuff. I'm intentionally leaving the checkbook at home .

 

HERE'S A SUGGESTION:

For any given day that you are there, if you want to meet other HAMBers, meet at NOON behind the main grandstand, where the permanent food vendors are. If you stand looking at the food vendors, meet all the way to the RIGHT CORNER of the building.

Make yourself a little HAMB sign, sticker, nametag, whatever, so that other guys don't have to guess. Guys don't like talking to strangers for no reason, so don't make us all look like idiots.

This is just a suggestion.

Hey everybody -- ignore the "one star" rating. My computer was acting crazy (slow -- as it does just before a crash) and an errant mouse click snagged the rating link. Just wanted to explain.
