I really dig old trailers! I have a 1969 Avion slide-in camper for my 4X4, but that's as old as I have. Yours looks like it is going to be a cool rig! Perfect for your '39.

I think next year I might build a travel trailer in an early 1930s fashion,...to tow behind the roadster,....nothing too crazy, something simple and old timey!

Here's a shot of my bro-in-law's '50 Buick Sedanette with his (X) '57 Westerner Canned Ham at the Paso run a couple years ago. It was a nice rig, however he sold it when he moved to West Virginia.

There are several organizations dedicated to the preservation and restoration of old travel and camper trailers. Most of the old style lighting is being reproduced as well as hardware pieces. Google "Teardrop trailers", "Spartan Trailers" and " Antique Travel Trailers" or "Antique Camper Trailers" for loads of informationa, photois, catalogs and such.

Thank you for the kind words , it means a lot to me . I saw my trailer in a guys backyard off the 210 freeway and knocked on his door for three years before I got it ! Trailers are really fun and you can still find them needing elbow grease for affordable money , getting tougher than it was 10 years ago when I got mine though unfortunately ! Here's a couple pix of the inside , my buddy made the stainless galley , Costco had the cool little fridge for around a $100 , engine turned table wasn't expensive at local furn. store , wife made curtains , I refinished the wood . Cheap thrills and being creative is the name of the game !

I had a '56 Cardinal 13' before leaving California, sold it for $800 bucks.
I like going to old car swap meets and I sale stuff at car shows. With gas prices where they are at and hotel rooms where they are at I'd really like another Canned Ham to use. I'm looking too!
    Here are some inspiring pictures.

This was last weekend. On the way to a weekend show.

The Shasta was forsale, but sold in 2 days. No fear though, we replaced it with a 18' airstream:p :D
