    Hey nice car.
Do you have any pictures or details of what you had to do to the head? I have one here in England I was planning on fitting soon.
    Cheers

    1930 with a fifties/sixties look.

It would take quite a bit to make it look like it was from the forties. I love the forties hot-rod look but I just don't have the right elements to pull it of right now.

  4. thanks... it is pretty cool working on it.....sort of enjoying it.........but I really want to cut it........hahha

  5. Yes - I'd be interested in what you've done inside that Thomas head? Any pictures?

Yep I decided not to sell her, after all I really love this car, and I'd just have to build another.

Unfortuatly I aint got no pictures of the head work.:( But here is what I did. I opened it up around the valves, cause it was a bad casting and too narrow, and thats a must do. Then I also widened it out over the pistons to get better flow, but Im not shure if thats done any difference at all, apart from lowering the comp ratio and giving me a whole lot of extra work... I actually think not.! And then I polished it all up,so there was a nice smooth surface. It aint Rocket sience.:)

SUHRsc. What is that head that you have on your B engine?? One nice ride there, is it a really old hotrod?

I was going to ask about the head as well. I've got a thomas head. I was wondering how much relief you cut into it?

Have any pictures of the under side of the head? Here's mine.

No I dont have any pics of the underside, I allways forget to take pictures as I build.

I did'nt cut relief in the head, I trimmed of the pistons instead, cause I only had acces to a lathe. But it works just fine.

The chambers in my head was much longer and much narrower, so now they are sill long, but a little wider.

Yours looks like winfield chamber design.

I've got this. It's fitted with a quickchange rear which theoretically dates it a little later, other than though that it's pretty much pre war.

Is it still running the original frame underneath (but boxed)? One day, I might be able to get ahold of an A around here, not for sale right now though. Might consider building something like this. Tired of the lowered/slammed/scraping/dragging look.

yep- not many of us consider a four cylinder a hot rod, but there's a few!

still need to do the brakes, if i can find all the pieces i will use 39 so i can get the nice wide 5 wheels. i have since pulled the rear fenders off and fitted a 29 shell. i still need to refit the roof and find some uncut doors.

    Hi Kedde!!
Was wonderin' when you'd show up around here. I still think your tudor is one of the coolest rods in Denmark...... couldn't be a truer Hot Rod.
And the way you built it just underlines that!

I'm looking forward to seeing all of you this coming weekend.

This car is all original and unrestored...been sitting in a barn for a long time.

    But in disrepair.

Most people have told me to sell off the chassis, but considering people have dumped alot of powerful engines into them without much/any boxing...I thought why not.
