Hot Rods Anybody have a Camaro AND a fat fender Ford?

Got a favor to ask... That may save some people some moolah.*

The hood hinge bolt has a cone shaped end on it on both cars... If the diameter is the same, then we have a source for them through the Camaro restorer suppliers.

Could somebody take a caliper to each and report back?

Midwest Vintage Ford had SS versions for $80, Ecklers has Camaro ones for $15

 

I don't have a Camaro but I do have a 46 Ford and I'm not sure what bolt you are referring to. Are you referring to the shoulder bolts? Those are available from macsautoparts.com (and others as well). Part #V803110. The other part I'm seeing is a "hood arm bolt kit" part #91A-16612-S. My car is still in many pieces so I wouldn't be suprised if what you are looking for isn't either of those.
