  10. Man, some cool Chebbies in this post! I guess I will toss mine in too, but some tuff acts to follow. The before pic was right after I bought it in 1985. The other picture was taken this spring. More or less finished and painted it about 1990. Runs a kind of rare factory hi-po Buick 300-4bbl from '65 (factory 11 to 1 compression, not so cool with todays gas prices). TH350 trans, Nova rear on stock springs (minus about half the leaves) and an AMC Pacer front suspension. Just basic stuff, drives great, rides smooth, stops good. Gotta love these 'ol trucks.

That chassis is awsome moonmr ! Thanks guys for your pics ,I didn't know there was so many guys with these trucks on here! I have had the truck since I was 16 but it had been part of the family since I was 9 or 10. After blowing the 2nd motor out dad made me put it in the barn and get something else. Anyway a few years back I got it back and have been doing a groudup on it. I will snap pics of it when time allows. Thanks guys and keep em coming ,got any cool mods you have seen tell me about them or show me ,thanks again.:D

Hiway 7, I like Eddie's truck. Got anymore pics?

(MoonMR, your frame work is clean!)

Clark, the chop on the green flamed GMC is mean and nasty looking! Street Rods, trad, original restorations, lowrider style, roadsters, they all look good. Great thread!

Hey JEB are you needing any parts? I have saved a few parts off the many I had parted out and a friend of mine has a parts truck we have to pickup. We used to find these trucks laying everywhere and could pick them up cheap, not anymore!:(

You bet! I'm working on the frame this weekend, so I'll start making a shopping list. I'm going with a later chassis and suspension, but I'm gonna need some body parts like a 54 dash, 54 grille, bumpers, left fender with no spare tire dent, front bumper mounts, decent bed floor, and a tailgate.

Do you have any of that stuff? If so, how much are ya askin for it? I live near Dallas, but the truck lives near Austin at the moment. I can make a Saturday morning trip to pick it up soon.

    Thanks,
    JB

Yeah I have the bumper mounts, rechromable bumpers, pretty straight left rear fender ,don't have any 54 dash or grille [i think I spotted one awhile back ,have to investigate]. I am using a bed floor out of a 88 up Chevy pickup, swb works but stepside practically drops in, might think about it. Abodyshop gave me the bed because the sides were crushed ,I just cut the floor out with a sawzall . :D

Thanks Guys, to bad it took 4 years for him to complete the truck. If this truck could have made beeen done 4 years ago. His air suspension would have been top dog.
