  2. I just scanned these. The red oxide '53-54 Buick was designed by David Anthony Garcia and built by Joe and his dad 'David' at their shop (Drag-N-Shop) for Rick Landy he ended up selling it unfinished, so keep your eyes peeled for this bad ass kustom around I sure do miss her. And Ron Gomez' '41 Buick in pink primer at Bill Hines' 80th b-day party. :)

Kustomike, thanks for the pics ! Very interesting. The in-progress pics of the Merc above are of Tom's blue Merc which can be seen in this post one page earlier, right ?

  4. All the under construction photos are new projects at the shop. The Merc was chopped 2 weeks ago I believe, the tailights on the Merc were being worked on this past weekend. I understand how you could confuse them I had the same thought when I saw it myself, this Merc is chopped a bit more than Tom's.

Nice work Joe. . . It's great to see that someone can still add a new twist to cutoms. You seem to be developing a recognisable style that still retains the class of a traditional custom, and that is pretty impressive 60+ years after it all started.

I can't wait to see some of these (especially the kaiser) in shiny paint.

I am also building a Kaiser, so I was very excited to see osme others in thei post. I haven't really shown my car off much yet, but I have to post it up here so you guys can see it. It is very close to running, I'm hoping to drive it to Viva Las Vegas this year for its first show. It's a 51 Kaiser Manhattan built on a 95 Caprice police car frame, so it has an LT1 350, 4 wheel disk brakes, etc. I chopped it 6" and stretched the doors to make it a 2 door. I'm thinking about hos I want to paint it and wheels and such. Im leaning towards a navy blue base with some metallic mixed in and a cream color on the firewall and wheels. What do you guys think?[IMG]
