Thanks much for the pics Mike ! Kool stuff. I could have been there...but I suck.Too bad you don't have more pics of the bare metal Merc with the peaked fenders. Joe ? Larry Watson still looks like on his old T-shirts.I guess its the paint fumes that keep him in such good shape...

 

Kustom Mike, your brother have any plans for his '55 chevy? is he going to keep it stock or go Kustom? i've got one also, had it off and on the road since high school (i went to montebello high) but it's currently getting its new eng and trans installed.

 

It'll be a mild kustom. Shaved handles and some trim. Pretty conservative.

i've alwalys wondered how you extend the rear 1/4's? very nice work.

Well how about letting the photos speak for themselves. I don't see any "sharp angles" on the back of that roof.

Hey Jesus,Theres things about any radical kustom that was built by a shop that owners take issue with. Trust me and I know what Im talking about,If anyone else did that work to your car It would not have the same soul. Its one of the all time greats. Im assuming the Garcias did the work on the quarters and the trunk too,no? If they did,I mean what I say even more. If you did the trunk and the quarters you my friend are a major talent also. 9/10ths of building a car like this is the end profile and how your eye drops on to the pavement after the car drives by at 2 miles an hour.If I found out that your roof had an inch of plastic over pop rivets and shitty spot welds Id know that who ever built it still was a professor of southern California custom design. The world is flooded with customs that are perfectly executed but have roofs that are too high in the back,no stance and some shit taillights that are too high in the rear quarters,not to mention these stupid small back windows that have no business in an early 50s car. . Your car rules and you must too to be part of designing it. Good luck and please show us pics of your next build!

The dash was striped by David Anthony (D.A. Designs) Joe's younger brother. Also the airbags were done at the Drag-N-Shop by Joe's dad David Garcia.

 

I could feel that they did the roof and the 1/4 panels alsso.

which other cars were bondoed? the peach colored ford (now black with green flames) and the green kaiser? or the green chevy hardtop with lighter green flames now? all awesome cars. and all driven cause i see them practically everywhere i go, love your chevy especially jesus! looks awesome all shiney now!
