anybody havin timely delivery issues with speedway motors?

    i ordered a set of shock/headlight mounts 3 weeks ago. (i know i know catalog stuff)... anyway, no sign of em other than a guy named joe left me a message 2 weeks ago sayin he was buildin em and i'd get em asap.... i'd have built the damn things myself but frankly, i'm not that good and i'm sorta hopin for symmetrical. :) question is, is anybody else havin this issue? they're usually right on top of things if you order from em and this go around, i can't even get a response to my email inquiries... :(

    Sounds totally out of character........they usually amaze me at how fast I receive orders.

    As in Speedway in Nebraska? That does sound ODD, the couple times I've had to get stuff from them I've had it in like 3 days. And they sent me multiple confirmation emails...:confused:

    You got a message explaining, it's only been 14 days since the guy said he's building them, asap ain't arrived yet. Chill, watch a ball game. Watch the news and if you see a story that they've filed bankrupsy, then will be soon enough to worry about it.:cool:

    i dont wanna watch a ballgame! i wanna finish the damn car! :) its just completely outta character. never waited more than 3 days for anything from those guys but then again, i've never had my email inquiries ignored either. they have no problem sendin me 3 a week offerin me yet another catalog. seems they could answer 1 simple question in any of those.... besides, 2 more weeks to fab shock stands? what, is he mining the ore, smelting the steel AND fabbin?...

    That don't sound like Speedway ,,here in So Missouri ,,i usually get their packages the next day ,,even tho i didn't ask or pay for next day shipping ,
    only time i had a problem was when i ordered a stainless stock style '32 grille ,,i got emails and phone calls from em every few days ,,it was on back order ,waiting for the supplier to make em,,after 3 months i just canceled ,,
    the supplier had problems i guess ,,,

    Get on the phone first thing in the morning and you'll have your answer. A possibility the answer won't make you happy but an answer non the less. I've never waited more than 3 days for a shipment.

  9. If you place an order and something is on backorder they hold the whole shipment. When you place an order with them ask to have all the in stock items shipped. It's happened to me.

    I ordered a set of shocks a few weeks ago and had them in 3 days. They have always been good with me. Guess I'd make a call and see what's up. Good luck.

    Speedyway always been good shipper call the order line ask for Joe if no Joe some one will look it up for you

    I ordered some shock/headlight mounts also, they where back ordered. Told them to call me when they came in. 2 weeks later Speedway called, hadn't made my own yet so I bought them. No problem.

    Bought lots of stuff from Speeway in the past 15 years, always had good service in
    2 to 3 days. I have all the parts reciets, some day I'm going to add them all up.

    I've always received my order next day from them, always amazed at how fast they ship things. longest order was 3 days when the stuff was backordered.

    new crankshaft ordered friday evening. just got confirmation this morning, no problems at all.

    im gonna order parts tomorrow from speedway and ill have them tuesday, call customer service and ask about it, you will get an answer asap

    Not a shot at you but in this day and age there is absolutely no excuse for not returning emails. If as a company you offer email as a means of contacting your company than you should damn well make sure there is someone answering every single one of them. One shouldn't have to phone to check up on why their email hasn't been replied to. If you can't be bothered to answer the emails then don't offer it as a option for communicating with your company.
     
  26. just made an order and got it 4 days later, they ship very fast but the ups let my parts sit for a whole day at one of their places. all the other places it arived at left the state the next four hours, soon as it got to california my 2 orders sat.

    thats always been the case.. until now. hell, i'd order the damn things again if i thought i wouldn't get 2 sets.... i'm certainly not knockin speedway, they've always been good it's just closin in on a month and frankly, i'm feelin lost in the shuffle.

    dunno if this is goo or bad news but i finally got an answer... after 28!? days. stuffs on backorder, was supposed to be there by the 12th but now its pushed to the 30th... the funny part, its listed in their latest catalog as "new". the 3 catalogs i got before this latest had the same part, same part # with no mention of the new thing... go figure.

    I always check to see if it's on backorder before I purchase. The info is there in the checkout. If it's backorder, I don't buy. I'll find somewhere else to get it.
