Technical Anybody ID this Foxcraft Shifter?

  1. I was digging through my stuff and came across this Foxcraft 3 speed shifter. Have no idea when I got it how I got etc. Don't even know why I have it lol.     They were a "fits all" type of shifter. The transmission arms on it are the style used by early Chevrolet three speeds, as well as sideshift Cad/Lasalles.

    Well, Foxcraft used to call itself "Mr. Fender Skirt" and the job name on the label is "Margaret Claire's Wedding" so maybe this fell into your garage from another universe.

That looks a lot like the knuckle buster Foxcraft shifter I had in my '55 Ford when I was a kid A good hard shift into second gear (3 speed) would end up with sore knuckles when you punched the dash 'cause the threaded shifter handle broke at the threads ... again. :mad: I ended up replacing it with a Hurst / Indy that was a lot more capable of taking the abuse I was dishing out. :)

    i think that's an "economy" foxcraft shifter. the more expensive ones had a "diamond-shaped" gearshift lever, rather than round...
