Hi, I know I'm new here, but I'm looking to pick up a car soon in Vallejo and bring it back to Santa Rosa, It rolls, but the tires don't hold air (I can get a portable compressor). I'd like to pick it up this coming weekend. If this works for somebody, let me know the cost, I've also got some harley parts to trade. Sorry about the first thread, it was suggested I be more specific in the title. Thanks!

  2. Have you considered renting a U-Haul truck and trailer?

Yeah, I'm trading him my truck though, so I've got nothing to tow it back with.

  4. Maybe you could rent a trailer, pull it with your truck, pickup the car and bring it to your place, return the trailer, then let him (who is helping you do all this) take the truck home after dropping you off at home.

  5. how about renting truck and trailer, trailering your truck down and returning with your new treasure?

Both good ideas, but I've never towed anything in my life, don't even know how to hook up a trailer and I'm not sure I feel real comfortable towing a car for the first time in bay area traffic. Oh well, I'll figure something out.

  7. Have you asked the guy you're trading with?

I guess another option would be to get a quote from a towing company- ooophh!
