As I collect more and more 55-57 Ford publications,I have come across a question in the ***les of the books and what exactly they are intended for. For instance the Pricing catologues are listed for two versions. One is listed as "Net Price List for WholesaleTrade" while a second catologue with the same "effective date" is listed as "Net Price List for Ford Dealers". Can anyone tell me why there are two differently intended clients and what if anything are different about the two publications? While I have not had an opportunity to compare the two differently ***led price books as of yet,I would ***ume they would contain the same information? Any ideas Oldmics
My guess is that the wholesale price list is for fleet buyers or non-Ford-***ociated vendors that sold Ford service parts in retail applications, such as NAPA, Western Auto, jobbers, body shops, etc. The pricing for Ford dealers is self-evident. I would think that there is some explanation in the front pages of the respective catalogs, especially the wholesale one. If a person really burrows into the differences in pricing between the two, especially with the hundreds of pages and thousands of listings in it, it probably will result in mental fatigue if you go line-by-line. At least that's my past experience...
