No that’s where I got my measurements from they have their place - no sharp edges to catch stuff etc. only use a high quality hex wrench to avoid stripping the hex I use proto , eklind and bondhus wrenches, never stripped a hex.

If you were in the midwest you could go to Bomgaars a "sorta" farm place like Tractor Supply and they have a huge selection of that type of hardware, you may have something like that on east coast??

I usually buy longer ones and then screw a nut or two on the threads to get slightly more length than I need. Cut it off with a hacksaw or bandsaw and dress the end slightly on a belt sander. Screw the nuts off to make sure the thread isn't burred and you should be good to go. Personally I like the Torx head versions the best .
Go to Amazon and type in "Torx Head Screw". It will come up with a chart that you can look at ....shows many forms of screw heads as well as drive types. There are a bunch of similiarly shaped but different head styles and the names for them. Button Head is one design, but there are a bunch of those similar shapes that may be of interest to you and others for future reference. Check out the "modified truss" type. They even have a "two headed" screw............:D
