Does anyone know of a vendor or fabricator who has a 32 Ford rear cross member available that is flattened for a new traditional build? Looking for a bolt in replacement type. Going with un-boxed rails. PM me. Thanks. G

I don't know of any , But are you planning to use a straight rear spring or the curved 1932-34 style rear spring ??

El Polacko makes a nice one, but it has just a little bit of an arch for a model A style spring...

And he covered curved spring style too.

There's a million different variables when flattening a crossmember and finding one on the shelf that suits you perfectly would be like finding the winning lottery ticket on the floor.

There's probably a few hundred guys that can flatten yours to exactly what you want though if you don't feel comfortable doing it.

Here's one I did. It's narrowed and although not flat, it is flatter .

I don't know of anyone that does a bolt in, but what I ended up doing was calling up a local sheetmetal shop and having them bend up a crossmember for me. sent them a sketch with the dimensions and for cheaper than your time to flatten one would be I had a x member that I slid in place, squared up and welded in. easy peasy lemon squeazy!

this was using a straight 40 spring btw. using a model A or a 32 spring would not work this way.

my Deuce roadster came with a bolted in 35-39 cross member that some old time hotrodder put in it back in the 50s I'm guessing. they burned out the Deuce rivets and replaced then with bolts. I welded them up. No 'kits" available back then.
