anybody moved springs inside the frame on a 49-54 chevy

    I did mine myself using a friends press. Pretty easy process really. Work you way along it at about 3 or 4 inch intervals, then go back in between the first spots, take your time.

    Keep going till the spring is reversed. I later took about half of the bow out of them, and removed 2 leafs, they now sit pretty flat.

    While I was at it, I got some nylon type stuff from a friend about 3/8" thick and ground it into sliders that fit into the pockets of the springs, like Posie's, man they work nice.
