are you kidding me $20,000.00 for a ****ing jacket, I cant believe someone can afford that, BS here I am sitting here wondering how i am going to avoid forclosure and guys buy a $20,000.00 jacket. **** that just makes me so sick...
that is pretty cool, it belongs in a museum. i dont know if it will go for 20k either though... for that much you could probably build something pretty cool.
Yeah, I used to live in Highlang Park. Lotsa people with more money than they know what to do with. I'm tempted to give him a call and suggest he smoke another one. Gotta love the description though, "jacket does have some moth holes which is to be expected. . . ." ****, it's only $20k, what do you expect?
Seems real to me. 3k to 5k an a good day would be more of a reasonable estimate. I have been collecting mens rare vintage and 40's and 50's clothing for 13 years now and I have seen some stuff go in the 9k to 12k range but that was for flight jackets with provenance. It's cool for sure but not THAT cool. Jerome
I'm willing to bet that, for way less than twenty grand, I could hire one made that you couldn't tell from the real article.
Oh yeah .... no doubt. The first design club jackets that we had made were all on vintage jackets with period correct chain s***ching done by the same lady in the area that did it in the fifties, same machines, same thread. There are ways to tell. It can be faked ,as with just about anything. Jerome Cheaters chain s***ching and knitting club , for men.
think how cool you'd be with the $20,000.00 barris jacket and the $2500.00 Roth ****on up monster shirt that sold last week. all you'd need then would be a pair of Von Dutch's boxers to complete the outfit... then you'd be livin' the life.

Aww come on...if I won the lottery Wednesday nite I would probably buy that just because it really is a piece of history. And it is ****ing cool....we don't all play with the same kind of pocket change...to some guys that 20K is pocket change (wish it were me) I think it will reach the price.
For that kind of $$$$$, I would rather have a nice set of wheels wrapped around me then a jacket that sits on a hanger in yer closet. KNUX!
At my work last night, I found a bank receipt from a atm machine on the floor. It said the balance left was 56,000.00 after the person had withdrew 100.00. It must be nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wonder what their savings account looks like? KNUX!
There was a blue "Kustom's of Los Angeles" jacket like this one that sold a couple months ago on ebay for $900.00. I believe "KOLA" was only around for three years befor George started "Kustoms of America" I believe there were three different "KOLA" jackets back in the fifties. The blue one as on ebay, probably the earliest, a tan reversible jacket, and a marron jacket with wool chenille crest and lettering. Here is a picture of the maroon style "KOLA" jacket that I own. Mine is a small size with name "Azzie" chain s***ched on the front. I've shown it to George, who authenticated it but he couldn't remember wgo "Azzie" was. Anybody have any ideas? Not sure who made the earlier jackets, but mine was made by "Stylized Emblem". Mick
If you think about it, real 32 ford roadsters are probably easier to find than one of those original jackets... So maybe the price isn't too nutz.
