Anybody put Cragars on a Cheftain?

I have a 58 Cheftain with 14's and want to put some Cragar Super Spoke wheels in a 15 and some BFG shoes.I just wanted to know if anyone has done this?I know I will have to get the offset but want to see what width tire and rim would be a good choice.

Regular like 15x7 wheels should fit fine. I had 15x7 factory GM wheels on the back of my '60 Pontiac with 235 75 R15 tires on and they were okay unless I put three people in the back - and even then only rubbed on hard bumps.

 

Thanks for the reply.I have spoke with some of our techs in our shop that are ole Skool and we were thinking a 70 or 75 series would work.I will bring the car home soon I hope and I can then check out the frt and rear for clearance.I believe a set of bfg's would look good on some cragars.....we'll see soon....
