I thought I was doing good, scored a Fenton two-pot intake for my 223 Ford. No linkage, plus I'm a mechanical moron....so I'm sorta stuck on how it works on these things. The carbs mount sideways, so the butterfly/lever pulls up..(best way I can describe it ) sheesh....... Who's got a Ford setup that can show me a picture of what the linkage looks like? YOU could become my NEW best FRIEND!!!! HELP!!!
not on a ford, but same principal...... got straight non threaded rod, cut to size, threaded the ends, had the end pieces that bolt to the carb (all from the local Ace hardware store) got the yoke on the stock linkage and away I went.... hope it helps.... don't laugh about all the nuts....I worked to keep the yoke from moving forward or back, and not lifting the carb linkage
Aw, thanks for the pics Jeff.....but mine's different It actually needs to pull the linkage up Oh, dude, I like your nuts though......... ......wait...that don't sound right This is what I've got That's the factory linkage there in the middle. It pulls back, which levers the butterfly up/open So nobody here's running a Ford six with 2x1? Or 3x1?? wow....I must be gonna have a real rare setup
