Here's two shots of my AV8. one with 4:50-16 F and 7:00-16 rear. The other is with 6:00-16 F&R while I was waiting for new tires to arrive.

I have to admit that it rode better with the 6:00's on front over the 4:50's. But I'm willing to give up comfort for a better look.

I would like to run 600 x 16s on my T-Tub, I have a 5 bolt Chevy pattern, Did Chevrolet ever make the 16 inch rims with a 5 bolt wheel?

One of my Alltime fav cars, buildt and owned by Many Betes gives you a hint on the look of 4 alike.
This car has 6.00 up front and the slightly larger 6.50 out back on the pic below. Pic is from an old American Rodder (jan 94 I think). If I'm not mistaken there where at least one pair of BF's on the car.

Personally I think 6.00 is a bit to tiny as a rear size, but that is of course a subjective opinion.
Another thing to consider is timeperiods, if this is something you care about.
Many's car is build 1938/39 and has a quite horisontal stance as where normal then. Tirecombo fits the period.
Raked stance of the late 40's and 50's will not suite a 6.00 allaround set up in my eyes. Even if the car itself provides the stance.
This is of course no law of nature, but the comon trends of the time. Look up Montgomery.

Look at the pics of AV8Paul above. "One is taken 1938 and the other is of 1952." Same car different rubber.

If you want your heap to look like a lakes racer of the day. 6.00 out back is more or less out of the question.
All these "important" details is more than half of the fun, right?

But, Hey, put them on and apply the lead foot. Then you will have to look for new reartires soon anyway. Do a new evaluation then.:D

    My thoughts and 2 cents.

I searched your posts without finding any good info on your car/project.
Let us know what you are up to.
AV8's are after all, one of the great aspects of life :)

    Calendar says 1948.
It soon friday night and time to head off for El Mirage.

Most likely the numbers are 5.5 - 7.00 or 7.50

    Have fun

yes, and i have no z so it's a bit goofy looking....to me anway.....

you'll have to get your stance based on your Z alone....

i really like 600.....not too small and not too big........juuuuuus right as little bear says.......or was that goldielocks....
