The new, longer version of this historic film features an introduction by producer and narrator Alex Xydias, founder of the SO-CAL Speed Shop. This 80 minute feature-length film details in color and sound the history of hot rodding for more than 30 years . . . the 30s through the 60s. At the dry lakes, Bonneville Salt Flats, drag racing and much, much more! This is a must see for all car enthusiasts. http://www.ahrf.com/product_detail.php?id=42&cat_id=2 Anybody seen it? Im thinkin of buying it.
I bought this one at the NHRA Museum about 5 years ago. It's OK but not worth an Oscar nomination for sure. You've probably seen some of the segments in other films. There is one part about "the crazy chemist" mixing a fuel concoction while smoking a cigarette. A little hokey in spots but it does have some good footage too.
I am a member of AHRF and I have the shorter version of the film........it is great! By all means, do buy this........you will not be sorry.... CB

I prefer this one. More expensive but more insightful too. http://www.thehotrodcompany.com/shopnow/show_item.asp?product_id=dol1
