dons t, that orange Caddy is a local car. On searching the web for he**** sites I ran across another car that was built in Enid, always wandered what became of it. Use to run a blown sbc.
Well its not chopped, but this was a nicely done car in the UK a few years back... http://www.burnhamautos.com/he****.htm
Doesn't look right..Countries in Europe always built funky he****s..Didn't sink the bed like US ones..
If you want some input, there's a few tips I could give you on that build, certain things people don't lnow about he****s..Also,you guys never responded to a letter I sent you a while back about a possible trade..
Depends on how low the chop is...Most he****s have about a foot to a foot and a half of clearance between the top of the casket and the roof,so depends on how radical your chop is..
A casket sits in the back with the casket lid closed...You could do a 6 to 8 inch chop and it would still fit..
This just appeared on German Epay. Says its a Canadian built Ford that was used on the island of Malta. http://cgi.ebay.de/US-Oldtimer-Leic...2QQihZ002QQcategoryZ29750QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
There's a whole page of pice here from Wintersun 2005, (It's on again right now!) and a bit over halfway down the page on the right hand side is a chopped 50's he****. http://www.pepsgarage.com/Wintersun 2006 The Cars.htm Cheers, Glen.
I've got a '71 Superior I have been driving around now and then for a couple of years. Contemplated chopping it when I first got it. Since I've been driving it a little more lately, the guys in my club are trying to talk me into it now. One of them does it for a living, and in his 30 or so years of doing it, hasn't done a he**** yet, and is really interested in giving me a hand with it. The whole idea is to do this car as a kustom in a 50's or 60's flavor, so chopping it would be the icing on the cake. The biggest obstacle is the commercial gl*** that is unique to he****s/ambulances, especially the 60's and 70's models. Cutting gl*** until you get one that doesn't break may be prohibitive. The cost is the least of the problem, finding gl*** is the biggest headache. Unless one was to be creative, think out of the box,(no pun intended) and find other solutions. I basically have it down to only 2 problems to solve. Number one is the windshield, which I think I have a couple of ideas, just have to research them. And number 2 is the front door windows so that it doesn't look like some hokey attempt to make a vent gl*** or something.
