anyone done a frame swap on a 55 buick?

looking to buy a 55 2dr buick and put a newer frame under it. the frame is shot and it had a torque tube. caprice frame?

 

There are a lot of easter ways to get rid of the torque tube then swapping the frame. Do a search for truck arm suspension.

the frame is rotted out, so I need to swap the frame no matter what. should have put in the first post, sorry

 

Didn't Jay Leno do a frame swap on his 55 Buick ? An inquiry with his shop may produce an answer....

Start looking up wheelbases and see what you can find to match.

if the frame and floors are bad, brace the hell out of it, and cut the shell off like a model car kit, then drop it on the pans and chassis of your donor and go.

 

The Buicks are close to the Olds so a 55 Olds frame might be one to look at.
