We are just getting ready to update my dad's '63 bonneville convertible. It already has a '71 pontiac 400 in it. He wants to replace the TH350 with a five speed manual transmission. We were thinking of using the Tremac transmission, a stock bellhousing and an aftermarket dual pedal set up for a hydraulic clutch linkage. Has anyone done something similar with this transmission?

Never done the swap your looking for but I do have a TKO sitting behind me waiting to go into my 63 F100. Seems to be a straight forward install to me, buy the parts and go nuts! Unless your making over 400 horse or so I would stick to the 3550, bit cheaper and shifts smoother. Other than that the TKO is one stout Mo Fo!

You should be able to source a brake and clutch under dash assembly from a lesser car similar to yours. Knowing GM the Impala/Biscane stuff should be a close fit.
