I bought the car from the old owners nephew. The uncle had owned the car since 1962.I am going to run a 1969 340 with a 518 overdrive. The engine and trans are now mounted. The interior is nothing fancy. The uncle had put white and green vinly over the original panels with tape on the backside. All of the original interior panels are in good shape.Future plans call for maroon paint with either black and white or maroon roll and pleats.I would like to duplicate the pinstriping that is on the car now.

I am supposed to be sealing a deal for a 49 Plymouth 2 door tommorow. If the deal doesn't fall through I'll post a pic and will be back on here begging for info and advice.

We've been working on this 40 Plymouth for the last 10 years. Hoping to get glass and upholstery in soon. I hope you're able to make better progress than we have.
I do like Wayfarers, especially 2 dr sedans.

    Good luck

I have a 37 Plymouth pickup I hope to get started on soon ! It's rough but I have to give it some new life . I have most all the parts I need . I would rather have a 40-41 Ply or Dodge 2 or 4 door instead . But I will see what I can do with the truck first .

I just picked up a 1928 Dodge Coupe body about a month ago. I haven't started on it yet and I will get some pics soon.

Did you ever figure out what type your coupe is?

I am still no sure which coupe it is. I am still trying to find out. But if I don't I am just going to go with it whatever it is.

  14. I have a 1966 Chrysler Newport, I know, not as old as the others but it is what I can afford right now.

  15. Hey, sounds like a 1928 Johnny C. Dodge coupe to me. Some anal retentive restorer will gladly point out to you which coupe it is you '"screwed up" once you have it done and drive it to a show or cruz nite. You will know what it is and the other guy still won't "get it".

Not so much building it as much as working on it

and what I'm working on is actually getting it to the garage.

It is just a cool car so I am not worried about what it is. Even if I did know it won't change what I do with it. It is going to be retouched on almost every point to be my own creation. So yeah you are right, it will be a 28 Dodge Johnny Coupe. I have always been into buildin cars my way regardless of what they start out as. I know I just made alot of guys cringe but that is just me. Sorry to get off track on this post.

Have we been scammed? Maybe someone needed a list of Plymouth owners? Otherwise why no concrete next steps?

Post a pic of the dash (even if it's just a hole)- there are more than a few guys here who can tell you what you've got (to help look for parts).

I picked this girl up about 2 years ago, so far I haven't done much to her except insulate the floor boards and clean her up some. I'm not sure what i'm going to do with her, maybe just drive her.
