My son is building this '51 Plymouth. It's not very custom yet, but he has lots of plans.

Noodles56. I think it would look spot on if you lose the spots and the hood ornament. But I really like the car. Noce job.

What else can you tell us about the guys and their De Soto. I take it they were on some type of competitve run I can make out the non stop but the where to where isn't seen. Be pretty neat to post that to the Desoto Clubs board. They have a list of Desoto dealers on their site and I don't see any listed for HA Barnard or for OK city.

Bet you they would like the info and enjoy the pictures.

  19. I'll try to post this and two other pictures I have along with the story. Did not know there was a DeSoto Club board. The run was from Oklahoma City to Los Angles and back without shutting the engine off. Done in 84 hours over mostly dirt and mud roads in 1929.

Here is my 37 Dodge. 58k original miles, 99.9% rust free, and a whole lot of fun to drive. Can't make up my mind on the direction for this car. Going to leave it pretty much as is, except for a wheel/tire change and a little altitude adjustment. Going to bring the front and rear down a few inches. Just can't decide if I am going to run bigs n littles for a "family hot rod" look or just run a taller white wall front/rear with some four bar flippers for more of a Bomba/cruiser look. What do ya'll think?

Here's Droplord49's old 49 coronet. Ugly roof but sexy as hell as a vert. Only one he let go that I actually missed. Still mad he didn't offer me the option to buy it.
