Here is par of another post I made to Dave in another thread. It lists lots of folks who offer parts for the old Mopars. Need to mention as well that FatMan's has dropped spindles as well.

There are several places that carry the parts to rebuild the stock fron suspension.

    Roberts http://www.robertsmotorparts.com/index.html
    Bernbaum http://www.oldmoparts.com/
    Rock Auto http://www.rockauto.com/
    NAPA, Autozone, Kanter and others.

As for the Rack and Pinion, I know that FatMans and PlyDo both carry these kits.

You can get disc brake kits from Olddaddy http://www.rustyhope.com/index.html or Scarebird here on the HAMB or ECI and PlyDo. Or follow this link to put together your own http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/s...d.php?t=356710

Shock relocation is a pretty straight forward job and will make a big improvement in ride quality. Olddaddy sells the brackets for this or you can fab your own pretty easy http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/s...th+shock+mount

While this article is specifically about a 51 Plymouth Suburban front end rebuild it all pretty much applies to our 48's as well

Here is my 30 Dodge DD6 Business Coupe I just took it to the shop yesterday! I will have a complete original drivetrain for sale if anyone is interested. I have Hemi stuff for sale just do an advanced search for dirty30dodge. I need that money for all the build expenses. Ouch! Thanks I am putting a 331 Hemi/700r4 and a used halibrand champ! a 51 ford straight axle in front with discs all around. Hoping to keep it more 50's 60's style! Traditional I hope If I can sell more stuff will chop the top about 4-5 inches. Lots of work but always worth it! My first 30's car so its going to be a challenge! Thanks HAMBERS!

And 10 minutes after registering for the site, I went through all 38 pages of it. Great stuff.

I was a little disappointed to see not too many of one of my dream projects, a 1940 DeSoto or Plymouth 4 door. I found one or two, but not nearly as many as I'd hoped.

But anyway, great work. Here's to another 6 years of posts!

Heres a link to a thread I just started about my wifes new car - 37 Dodge coupe.
    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=436474

I also have the 59 Dodge custom Royal Lancer in my avator pic. I have owned it since 1991 and am planning to get back on it next year or earlier if possible. It hasn't been on the road now sinceabout 2001 and thats waaaaay too long.
It has a 51/2 inch chop with the roof being replaced with one from a 57 or 59 plymouth. It was a four door but I 2 doored it several years ago. It runs a 429 ford backed up with a c6.

  25. Heres a couple of pics of my mopars, the 1940 Dodge Sedan I've had since 1971, its an Oz built car using Plymouth chassis, fenders, hood, etc with Dodge grille & moldings, its been rodded since 1973, 318 Poly,auto,4 wheel discs, rack&pinion, etc all work by me.....the 1941 Plymouth Coupe I've had since 2007, its a factory RHD built car from Sth Africa, an older restoration(paint & trim), I've lowered it, put the wheels & tyres on, and am building an Edgy headed, twin carbed 230 six with an S10 T5 from the USA to go in it.......Andy Douglas

29jay, that's a great looking poly. Nice engine that should be used more in projects.
