If you got rid of all that 80's crap.....it would be a nice car.

    Wouldn't I need the 12 v conversion once I swap for a current gen V8?

    That's so cool!

I'm building a chopped 48 Canadian Dodge sedan right now! (which is a Plymouth body) it was an abandoned project I rescued from going to scrap that already had most of the chop done.

I have to make the rear quarter window frames still and finish the door tops, but it's coming along. What did it take to put the K-member in from the Aspen? I have a few of those and the thought has crossed my mind.

It takes cutting off the original frame and building new rails to mount the Aspen crossmember to. Then you will need to fabricate all the rad, body and bumper mounting points.
If your frame and front suspension are in good condition (not rusted away or bent) rebuilding your original stuff with a disc brake conversion and relocating the upper shock mounts to the frame instead of the upper control arm makes these cars handle and drive well. You can also add a rack & pinion pretty easily if you want, and slamming them to the ground is not that difficult if that is your thing. All of the info you need to do all of these things is available right here on the HAMB through a search for 46-48 Plymouth/dodge suspension. Gene

    I'm working a 47 4 door.
just finished the Ford 9" rear end bagged and Triangulated 4 bar.
Added Disc Brakes, Had to notch twice to get ride height and clearance. Rooking Mistake. Taking more time now.

About to put in a Fat Man Mustang Two Frame Stub.
    disc and Bagged.

I have a small block Chevy with a 700 tranny.

    Sort of a Mutt,
I have a long way to go. maybe end of the year, I might be driving ugly but moving.
There are some pics in my folder.

...not true...if it is properly built. There are many drag cars using modified 904; they can handle some serious hp.

I have had this '47 Business coupe sitting in the barn for over a year. Pulled it out and getting started on it. Need to catch up with plysled. Pulled body off frame and finishing fat man stub and ford 9" on triangulated four link.
