Anyone else having problems with Garage Magazine?

# 17 came out in april , # 18 is at the printer waiting to go to press.

 

I don't have a sub and i don't care to, but i do find it funny that every time this issue comes up the thread gets closed. If anyone else related to the HAMB was taking payment without delivering we'd have another Rueben Fluke sticky.

I just wish Mr. Stoner and or tough guy JJ would grow some balls and man up to clarify what the fuck is going on.

Ryan should ban these guys asap. Garage no doubt was an awesome magazine, but fucking their customers and dealers with no explanation besides "printer problems" is bullshit.

As a dealer, I kept telling customers that it was on order, then it was delayed, it went on for months! What a way to run a business! Then I call the distributor direct, and they tell me they dropped it.

I've sent Stoner countless e-mails and PM's on the Hamb with no response. GAY

 

What bookstores can they be found in?

In Canada we have a chain similar to Barnes and Noble called "Chapters",... havn't seen the recent issue with Dita on the cover and havn't seen it in Barnes and Noble stateside either,...from what I read I sure as shit won't get a subscription,...anyone know where I can get the recent issue?

 

Anyone have troubles with Traditional Rod and Kulture, I've had the same issues? Only received 1 issue?

I think the guys just want answers or their money back from your friends Ryan. Similar posts are left standing for companies (Legend Motors comes to mind) that also did not do their posts/sales on the HAMB.

JJ is more then willing to jump on a thread (just last month) praising the magazine, he should be willing to do the same defending it, or at least have someone do it for him that works for him.

I wonder why some people receive their subscriptions without a problem, yet others never see them?

Also, there seems to be a great availability of these magazines in certain book stores and 7~11's ,yet other area's don't carry them at those same stores?

I'm sure this will be easier said then done, but for those who have paid a years subscription call the phone number/number's available , or email them and simply ask "Do you have me on file as a paid customer"? If so request either your past due subscriptions or a refund.

Stoner is a real nice guy and been a straight shooter with my brother & I,but he might now be aware of how Garage's mailing department is operating. I think this is where the problem is.

 

Some magazines have their subs shipped out directly from the printer. Could be a glitch on that end....

 

Never have gotten mine. I bought a few off ebay but subscription sucks. I am not renewing.

 

paid for a sub. back in march and havent gotten anything yet either... oh well guess i have spent alot more and gotten alot less... ( damn strippers)

 

Got mine up here in the mountains. The article on the P.P.E. was fantastic.
Perhaps J.J. is too busy doing other things than to monitor how his magazine is run?

 

I think part of the problem is that people who dont normally see them for sale in the stores assume that they have a subscription problem, when in fact it's that they have only put out one issue this year.

 

Thanks Ryan. I know it has nothing to do with the Hamb, but 99% of Garage Subscribers and readers are either hamb members or have heard of it through here.

I don't like to bitch.. but when you pay up (sucker?) and you wait a year.. and all ya get is lip service.. you have to buy the latest issue at borders.. which came out months after your subscription check was cashed.. ya kind of feel like ya got screwed.. then you get more lip service and hear about warehouse fires.. publishing problems etc.. I guess I just expected more from you Jesse James.. from what you say and do on TV it seems like you were a stand up guy.. granted I am only in this for 20 bucks.. but hell I don't think you would even give away 2o bucks without getting something in return. I really like the mag.. I hope to get 4 issues some day to brighten my time on the crapper.. but at this rate I will be getting them over the course of 4 years.. or never.. disapointing..
