History Anyone else notice the Count?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Pist-n-Broke, Dec 11, 2009.

  1. I put this under History because "We" are nearing the 100,000 member count. New member rubens is 99,994 and I would say before the weekend is over some one will be # 100,000. How Kool is that? My member # is 1,811. When I joined we all pretty well recognised a Name or Car of nearly everyone on here. I can't say that anymore but I think it's Grate to be part of a large community that for the most part see Eye to Eye and Enjoy keeping the Past alive. You could say Living History and passing it on again.
The H.A.M.B. is an amazing place.

Yes this place is popular . Congrat's to Ryan. The down side to that of course is that we no longer recognize most name's and car's.This place has so many poster's now and moves so fast that I miss alot of what's going on.It seem's that post move from the first page to three or four pages back in a matter of minutes now. Bigger isnt always better. This is still the best place on the net and the search function is my friend now more than ever. Gregg

yep, a great site to live and learn. Thanks to Ryan and all of those that work behind the scenes to keep it going. 90,000-100,000-are only numbers. Remember that we are a world wide family of car nuts of every shape, size, wealth-or lack of, color, gender, etc.

Tell us Ryan, did you ever dream that this place would grow to 100,000 members? I think it is awesome, but must agree that is is moving way fast now with the amount of posts. Of course, being on dial up really doesn't help trying to keep pace with anything....oh well, I'm still tryin!! Thanks to Ryan and all the cronies who help keep this place somewhat organized!! CHEERS.

  18. With the rate of New members coming on board maybe it can't keep up.

  19. You are # 1078. Wait for the page to full load. Put your Kurser on your name and look at the bottom line, There is your number, as stated above.

If you register (sign up) you get a member number. Has nothing to do with if you make a post or not.

Over 100,000 have signed up, of those 90,522 are still members. Almost 9,500 accounts have been deleted over time for one reason or another. I do remember a while ago that Ryan went thru and cleared out screen names of people that register but never posted.

Thank you Ryan! The HAMB is a part of my life, so good to have a place to share stuff I've collected over all these years.

  28. then I must not be able to see the full screen or view on mine, because it doesnt show nada at the bottom of the screen when I do it.
ok, somebody tell me what number I is so I can move on to something else to fret about.:D

There are lots of people signed on, but not many post.

It might look like alot do, but even 10% is 10,000 a day.

Thats actually a good thing, though. More posts of pertinent substance and less fluff.

    Kinda like this one is..
