Sure Tab, be my guest - I have a second set of these tires scheduled to go on a 1933 Willys if Wheelkid ever gets my wheels sent out - just ribbin' ya Jimmy;). Feel free to use the images and PM me if you would like me to send you more of this car in it's newly shod glory.

As an aside, I would love to see you guys at DB as Alliance Vendors and now that you and Ryan have cleared up any earlier misunderstanding, why not give it a shot - I am sure it will bring you some more business.

2 sets of Cokers over a 50,000 mile period (roughly) and at the time I thought they were great. I didn't know there could be such a difference in ride and handling quality between tire manufacturers. My wide white walls Diamondbacks are actually Michelins.

Michelins are a very good brand of tire..
I have had many sets on many different vehicles, also many different types and have never once had anything bad to say about them..definetly a quality tire Mfg.

If you rotate them about every other oil change ( i know that sounds like alot) they will out last just about any tire you have ever used. a good front end alignment is a must also

Did you have the Coker Brand or the BFG Radials that Coker sells? (they're what I have).

Diamondback tires have been the best for me. I have never tried Coker, but my brother has, and he has had nothing but trouble with his radials. He now runs Diamondbacks on his car.

The tires arrived on Monday, had the mounted and balanced but was surprised by the amount of weight two of them took. One front and one rear took over 12 ounces when spin balancing. I'm working on the rear wheels today. It seems repop wheels don't accept stock caps very well. Hoping for a short trip down the freeway later on tonight.

I've never had an issue with Coker. Just last week, I ordered a tube and some flaps. The order was accepted, but immediately I got email that they were'nt readily available, stating the estimated date they might become available. I wanted a specific date, said if that wasn't a firm date to cancel my order, they immediately obliged. I can't see any problem with that kind of service, no h***le, no flim-flam.

I was in a hurry, otherwise I'd prefer to use Coker. But I placed my order with Universal Tire instead, stuff arrived yesterday.

I also had an order I wanted to make for four American Cl***ics 1 inch white walls. I have bought from Cokar before and haven't had a problem. I was also emailed a 10% off coupon that I could have used for the tires as long as I bought them before the end of August. I asked if the tires were in stock just to be sure. They weren't. They were expected by the end of Sept. So if I wished to use the coupon I would have had to order and pay for the tires and then wait a month for them to be available. I didn't want to do that. So, I lost the 10% off coupon and decided to keep the tires I'm now running on my convertible. No doubt the recession is affecting Cokar. It's touched everything else.

so can we take a look ? Glad you recieved those tires, I was concerned on my Firestone Bias ply wide whites on my Coupe one took alot of wait also. Wondering if it's tire or rim ? Now the boys at the local tire shop put the weight all in the back so I could get the Olds caps on my rims so it maybe my error to run weight in the back only ?

These are the Coker Cl***ic Blackwall Radials that were mentioned some posts back......I bought them about 2 years ago and have loved them ever since.......they do capture much of the old bias ply *look* for a traditional style car, yet drive, roll, handle, and turn like modern radials that they are.......,.I would never go back to bias ply tires........why do you think they went the way of the dinosaurs?? Think about it.....'

Update: When the tires were first mounted it was discovered that one of the front wheels was bent and is wasn't good. Chris helped me out in finding a good wheel which was just mounted and balanced today. Took a run down the freeway, and let me tell you, these things are great! It felt like driving my daily driver. There's no more having the car drive me. It tracks straight without the suggestion of any instability. I couldn't be happier.

Don't be impatient for a disapointment. I have Coker's on my 40 Ford and I ain't a very happy camper. I have the big and little combo. in wide whites, and they are showing brown spotting through the white wall as well as signs of the white having hairline cracks at the rim. These things were hard to balance and the ride quality is terrible considering the car is sitting on a Ch***is engeneering frame with Mustang independent front and parralel leaf out back. My 49 is running Diamond back radials and drives and rides like a Caddillac. No comparrison.
