Art & Inspiration Anyone ever laced a fat-fendered 30's car?

I want to redo my paint with something different. I was thinking about a 3 tone total lace job but it might be too busy. Anyone ever do anything like this? On a car with lots of curves? Pics please.

That's not from the 30's, nor is it a car. And that's too much lace.

 

How about 40's cars then? thinking of Laces on my 41 Tudor
