Technical Anyone ever mod late 30s Mopar hoods to fit a Model A?

    So I'm looking at hood options for my 29 A, which has a 31 grill shell and whose hood will need to be about 3" longer than a stock 30/31 A hood. I'm debating building my own or possibly modifying an existing one. I've considered getting a 31 A hood, but it would need to be lengthened (pie cuts etc to accomodate for the change in angle from front to back).....OR, I've thought about getting a hood that's much longer than necessary and cutting it down, which seems preferable to me than having to weld in new stock like on the A hood. Specifically, I'm looking at the late 30s Mopar hoods that have side details that I dig. I know it would be all sorts of wider than what I need, but I figure that might be fine, modding all that. Anyway, I was wondering what you guys thought, if you know of anyone who might have done this, or perhaps any other hoods that might fit the bill and be less work to modify.
