Anyone ever rewebbed seat belts?

I finally found another '55-'57 T-Bird seat belt, so now I can have belts for both seats.
The first $4 one I bought has decent webbing. The $50 pair are in bad shape. They're all a light tan color ingrained with filth.
Can these be rewbbed? Has anyone done it? Is there a service for this?

    Thanks.

You're all a bunch of fairies.

You can buy new webbing in bulk rolls, and rework your belts...It's actually not legal to do for street cars w/o getting the new belts inspected...BUT, since your vehicle is pre 1966, it didn't come with belts , so you can do whatever you want...What color do you want?

I saw a buddy of mine do that a couple of times.
He is an upholsterer and he gets the material at the same place he gets his other upholstry materials and burlap ( sorry, tweed ).
Seems like an insane thing to do, but he does it...

Nads...I too have an upholstery shop here in Texas...I get the webbing from the same supplier I buy other materials from...I use nylon thread that is UV resistant, and it is very strong...I have sewn the big 3" wide tow straps before, and nothing has ever come loose, so I am confident you will be safe...Since I am new to the HAMB, I've noticed it's common practice to try to cut deals for other members, so I will follow suit and do the same...PM me for more details...

My wife does upholstery and she gets the webbing for about 3 bucks a yard at any supply place.

You should be able to find a hungry trim guy that will do it locally.
