Anyone ever seen a turn signal flasher like this?

Friend of mine needed a Signal Stat 800 for his 48 Jeep CJ2A project, I found one in another friends 50 Chevy he wasn't worried about me stripping. Cloth covered wiring on the turn signal switch was still in excellent condition so I went back today to see if the flasher plug was usable also. Felt around back side of dash for a flasher and found none (round one anyway). Followed the wiring back and found this, never seen one of these before and I've been doing this 30 plus years.
