    Just don't use R+L Carriers.

    TH400: horribly broken case.
    TH425: horribly broken case.

Both were crated, and had their crates reduced to wood chips.

Both were insured. I got a replacement TH400. The TH425 I had to take a refund on, as there are not all that many of them out there to get.

I've had great success shipping them in double wall cardboard boxes. Muncies weigh about 70 lbs or so boxed up, and the box is rated at 125 or 150 lbs I think. The only time I had a problem was when this big *** box arrived at the destination, with all the packaging inside...but no transmission. Box weighed 10 lbs. The guy asks...did you put a transmission in there? Uh yeah..I did...sent him a picture of the receipt showing 70 lbs or so. Anyway, FedEx paid the claim and I shipped him a different Muncie I had. Glad I insured it. The iron case T10 is heavier, but I'd still ship it in a cardboard box....also...Paul your trans might be an over the counter power brute...those are worth good bucks.

Ask the shipping company how they want it packaged up.
    Choose a reliable shipping company.
