Projects Anyone ever use a thunderbird hoodscoop on 62-63 falcon hood?

This has to be done before ? Just bought an original 61-63 thunderbird scoop on ebay and would like to replace my non functional scoop on my falcon. Looks like it's close from pics but it may be wider? Just a thought... guess we will see when it comes in!

As soon as it comes in looks like end of the week I will post a picture of the two and on the hood if it fits

 

Just a guess, but I bet it is much wider to be in proportion with the wide Bird hood.

 

Not bad! Little wider but matches the stock grill nicely

 

Now you need to find a junked T Bird and cut the center out of the hood and graft it on the Falcon. Most folks would never notice that it's wider.

 

Here's one, car belongs to my cousin, has a 351 out of a Lincoln in it. Car was purchased new by our grandparents.

 

It's a subtle change but if it adds that special touch and floats your boat, you should do it.
