I am collecting all the parts to put my 62 Galaxie in the weeds and found this company. Their site is www.dropnstop.com they say they have drop spindles and disc brake conversions for most 50 and 60's cars. Just wondering if anyone has had any personal experience with them - good or bad. So far this is the only company that claims to have drop spindles for my ride. If anyone knows of anywhere else to look let me know.
    Thanks, Sean

the spindles they use are 75-80 ford grenada, lincoln versais and mercury monarch with the balljoint tapers re-worked... to the best of my knowledge no one is actually making new spindles for them...

I have bought a set of drop spindles for my 60 Tbird from them. The price was right. The spindles are 75-80 Granada with the lower ball joint holes machined to fit your stock ball joint. The backing plates are also from the granada and the calipers are rebuilt. All other hardware is brand new and you get everything. I also went the other route and found a set of Granada spindles but the junk yards are hip to this and don't give them away. Since no one makes these spindles, guys like drop-n-stop call around to junkyards throughout the country and have their spindles sent to them so they can stay in business. I sent them down to Fatmans Fab to have the ball joint holes machined. By the time it's all said and done, the cost of finding spindles and gathering all the other parts, it's easier just to buy the complete kit and bolt it on. Forget about Ebay because you will probably pay through the nose for a set.
