I am having problems sealing the banjo bolts (Pure Choice) on my master cylinder. They sealed fine when first built. Then I had to replace the master cylinder. Now I can't get a seal. When I took the leaking copper washers off it didn't look like they had been compressed, no marks. So I found some copper washers that are a little thicker than the ones that didn't seal (.0625 vs .050). I'm hoping the extra thickness will seal. However if it doesn't does anyone have experience with the Earl's pictured. Think that they work or DON"T USE THEM!! There website says they will work anywhere you use a copper or aluminum crush washers.

Stat-O-Seal washers. Been around forever and used on everything. First place I ever used them was to seal the banjo fuel fitting on Amal carbs.

We actually use these on the low pressure side of the fuel injection system on the diesel generators on board US NAVY ships. We went to these after our copper washers kept leaking. They were an improvement for our application. One more thing you can try is annealing the copper washers to soften them up prior to installation. Just be sure to install them within 24 hours of annealing them to ensure they remain soft and crush properly and evenly.

I've run into "copper" washers at the cheapo automotive shops that must not be pure copper. Like noted, they don't conform at all, even after annealing. Now I go to a brake shop or a hydraulic shop for them. Aluminum washers work well too.

Very similar to ***mins washers for bt and isb engines. A great improvement over standard copper.

I'm using one on the master cylinder cause I couldn't get the correct sized copper crush washer. Works fine.
