Anyone find a transmission????

Had a relay going and apparently my transmission got put on the wrong truck. Looking for someone with a white chevy with a wood floored tilt trailer 10 ft from the big rv, parked right next to the timing station.

Anyone know someone that matches the description??? I really would like to find out where the transmission went!

We had a wood floored trailer pulled by a white Chevy truck and we were right next to the timing station.

We delivered three trannies but came back with none.

What kinda ******?

 

It was a 3 speed manual from a 53 Chevy.

 

Hmmm,,, we were drunk and in a hurry and it was dark but I'm sure we'd have noticed that.

Just re-read your original post and saw that you said "tilt". We no tilty so must have been someone else...

 

it was on the north side of the rv, and the trans isn't big. I made TRUCK_RAT carry it, I held the beer. and the trailer was up so they would have seen it when they put it down

 

Anybody see it?

That good looking guy who posted was Earl Scheib... maybe he got it???

Earl Schibe didn't have his rig at the track, He rode out with Bob K.

 

we were north of the timing shed, with the white 4 dr chev pu, and a flat trailer, and the HAMBCHARGERS dodge; waiting patiently for someone to bring us a 3 spd...Glenn from Phoenix was with us... we stayed till it was too dark to see, never did find the trans.

the trailer was empty, tilted up when we put it on. We set it at the front edge, driver's side. Couldn't have missed it without dragging a loose trailer. Somebody had to have noticed it,

 

I gotta tell ya, I've searched all the pics posted and don't see a white truck with a trailer by the timing shack...

We were on the other side of the return lane from the shack.

 

there were actually 2, one with a dolly to the south and one with a flat trailer to the north.

if you saw that mustang, it was next to them.
That's why there are no pics. Who would bring a 65 mustang to a pre-64 drag race?

the truck with the dolly was choprods with a coupe body in the bed....NO Trannies though ...my black tahoe next to it with tires and rims on the flat trailer...the other side of him was that alcohol, caged, parachute roadster (it had a tilt trailer and a white truck I think?) check there maybe..

 

my friend smittys dadinlaw has one in the org. crate for 200.00 if yours never appears...atleast thats what he said prolly and auto for a 92 mustang pm me if you need it....

 

I remember a truck setting there because I sat in those stands for a bit and saw it.
Other than that, I'm useless. (least thats what my daddy always said)

 

I found the truck! I think. It is in the background of a picture that a buddy of mine Brad Errigo took. He took the four pix in order right after the mustang. Give me a minute or two for Photobucket to load.

If it is the coupe with the yellow web in the window, I think he is from Pleasanton, Kansas and Carl mentioned a while back that he was winner in a cl*** at the drags a while back.
