Anyone get rid of their vent windows?

    I agree that vent windows look good, and I have them on my chopped '53 Chevy, but it's not true that only recently built street rods eliminate them. Exhibit A: The LaJolla Chevy (built around 1954 I believe)

    '39 Ford last year for roll out windshield and no vent windows.

    '40 Ford first year for no roll out windshield and vent windows.

    I've never been able to figure out why street rodders (not so much with hot rodders) eliminate all the NOS (neat old ****) that was on these old cars. Roll out windshields, vent windows, door and quarter side windows that roll back to act as a vent and then roll down, roll down rear windows, cowl vents, etc.
