Anyone going to Sweden in August

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Dirtyest Devil, Jun 10, 2006.

  1. Anyone here from the HAMB planning or thinking about going to the Sweden show this August 4th and 5th? It's my birthday weekeend and I'm planning on going, wondering if any other Hambers are thinking about it. Trying to find the cheapest flights now. Love to see some of you guys over there. Thanks, Mel

Maybe some of the Hamb sweed's can post a show poster or more info? Love to know where to fly into as well. Thanks for any help!

  2. That would be a damn cool trip. My father worked for a Swedish company in the late 60's and traveled there a lot. It's always been on my list to visit.

Hmmm... not in the cards for '06, maybe next year. Hmmm...

  3. Sweden is a great place. When I lived in England, I bought a new 1995 Volvo. Volvo arranged for my wife and I to travel by ferry to Goteburg to pick up the car at the factory. Put us up in a hotel for 3 or 4 nights and the town was jumping because the World Track and Field Championships were being held there. I would go back in a second if I could.

Anyway, back on point...Our daughter flew from USA to join us. Cheapest flights were on Icelandic Air. You should check them out.

Are the Swedish girls crazy for real-live American hot rodders? With real American dirt under their fingernails? And with real American beer bellies?

Mel wants to wear a t-shirt with a picture of himself on it. I'll wear the same shirt and settle for the chubby girls; "Yeah, I know Mel, I'm wearing his underwear. Wanna get some meatballs?"

  6. Ok, you've officially lost your marbles, but I like it.

  8. Ok, I'm going, got the tickets yesterday. I'll be out there for 15 days, leaving the 28th of July till Aug. 13th, 15 days. Anyone wanting to get tattooed, let us know. Im bringing my best friend Chris Delaney, he tattoos me for my birthday every year so he's bringing his equiptment. I'll see if I can get some photos of his stuff up here. Love some recomendations for some action for two SOBER guys. Let me know if you want me to bring anything too.

  9. Regarding the tatoo equipment, Sweden is 220V @ 50hz.

I think thats where my latest favorite rock band "In Flames" is from. Get them to play at a Car show and I would consider making a trip to Sweden...:D

  19. No worries Mel you can tell Chris that we have a 220-110volt converter ready and waiting for whatever equipment he'll bring.
Oh! - Tell him that we're all ready to be tatooed.
    See you soon
