How many hours to build and replace the lock cylinder (on the column ) which you have to build to fit your existing key.
Then how many hours to replace the ignition switch which is also on the column. This is on a non turbo 2019 Fiesta with a automatic. The reason I ask is a young friend of mine was charged $1380.00 by the local FORD store to replace the lock cylinder reusing her old key. That did not fix the issue so I got in the mix and changed the $52.13 ignition switch and that resolved the issue of the key not turning to the start position. ( looks to be a common problem ) Plus it only took me 20 minutes to change the switch, a young guy could do it in 10. Pretty sad !

    Jim,
Here is what you get with the tumbler, I am behind times but I always got a key with the lock. But now all keys have to be programmed so that changes things. I went with my friend to the Ford dealer and I wanted to know if they warranty their diagnostic work. They are supposed to let me know the first of the week. I think the charge for that was $300.00. I think the tech just took the bigger job. Here is a link to the tumbler. https://parts.levittownfordparts.co...CkRUeeSci3ewdTNIkmdJSkDwmX3Z_O0xG76KTnMvplxKm
