Yes, a 42-48 Ford Coupe is what he has there.

Just noticed that the one door trim stainless piece is smooth one. That eliminates 42, 46-(early)47 and leaves you with (late) 47-48 as the paperwork to look for.

  8. Man, do you actually read the HAMB or just look at the photo,s ? Go rent a trailer and clean up that guy,s yard.

  9. No way- not worth taking. Leave it there. It's a volkswagon anyway.

No, you don't want that. Give me the guy's number and address and I'll do him the favor.

Congrats, that thing looks good from the pics so far....

ok heres the deal, if the guy gives me the car, then I'm going to give it to some lucky ****er on here, or trade for something. It will be fun, I like giving **** away sometimes, kinda the whole pay it forward idea or something. The reason I'm not interested is because I have 3 unfinished projects, dont need a fourth one at all, dont have the money to finish 1 right now, much less another.

And yes I do read the freakin post, not just look at the pictures. I guess asking if I should take it free was pretty stupid huh??

I'll take dibs and even go up and haul it off and make something pretty and shiny out of it.

Our club would love to get something like that. We'd build it, flip it and use the money for our scholarship fund. Why can't we ever find stuff like that? Haha. Some day, right? nice find, man! Sell it to fund one of your other projects, if nothing else.

Yeah, but it was good for a laugh to read your response.

Also, I personally want to say that it's a cool thing your doing, offering to p*** it on for free, if more people in our hobby had that at***ude, we'd be the better for it!:)

I'll be in Abilene on Saturday, I'll bring the trailer and a winch, when and where do you want to meet? :D

If you are serious about giving it away, we can make it a "paying it forward" model, I've got some good things to give away.. a flathead engine, toploader 3 spd flathead car trans, ford 9" rear end.. we'll think of something. Or if you want to trade, what do you need for your projects? I've got quite a bit of parts laying around.

I think what would be cool, would be to see if we could pick one builder on here that would be interested in building a complete car, If i get the car been working on it all day today ( and its not in abilene ) just seeing if they can get the ***le at this point. Maybe some others could donate parts and pieces and we could build a complete H.A.M.B. car and auction it off for charity, or half charity/ half HAMB funds for a giant gathering or something. The car does have a motor and ****** with it also. Says he has all the interior parts in the barn too. I just think it would be cool to do something with it that could benefit others whether here or somewhere else.

If for some reason this car doesnt work like I'm hopin. I do have a 54 chevy 2 dr post, and another 54 chevy parts car that I might give away as well. Lets kick up some ideas on a good project and do it, several guys in texas that would probably be willing to help. Maybe a give away at the lone star round up or something. **** I dont know just throwin ideas out.

I gave the guy who picks up my s**** metal (and gives me half $$ without asking) 4 1946-47 ford truck cabs . I went over to his place to visit today and he tells me hes comming over with his trailer to p/u my 53 Plymouth so we can set up the motor and trans into my car. We can trade later for the motor and parts needed to get on the road this spring. He has a heated garage.
